Storm damage restoration is never an easy feat. The time and effort required to have a claim processed can really test anyone’s patience. Fortunately, we are with you every step of the way.

At CCR Roofing we take great pride in illuminating a path for you, so that you may understand the claim and insurance process.

We are professionals in our field and are accustomed to dealing with extensive storm damage.

Here are a few of the steps we go through in order to get your roof repaired or replaced.

    Assesment

We assess the damage to your roof prior to you filing a claim. This is done in your best interest as most adjusters are overloaded when a storm hits your area. Pre-assessing and marking damage makes it easier for the adjuster to see the damage and include it in your claim. The adjuster still must agree that your damages are from hail but most find this pre-assessment very helpful so they may work more efficiently.

    File a claim

Upon filing a claim with your insurance, you will most likely receive a call from your adjuster. He will offer an estimate of damage after establishing the scope of damage caused to your home.

If he totals your roof he will normally let you know at that time. Most adjusters in this instance will write a check on the spot. This first check is called the ACV check which stands for “Actual Cash Value”. Note this is not the actual replacement value. It is only the adjuster’s estimated cost replacement minus his estimate of the depreciation due to age and wear of your roof.

When you hire a roofer and the job is complete, the depreciation is sent to you the homeowner as a second check called the RCV check. This stands for replacement cost value. If you do not replace the roof and repair the damages to that portion of your property, it is no longer insured in the event of future damages.

Likewise, if you do not replace your roof and do repairs for the full amount of the adjusters estimate, the insurance company deducts the difference from your check.

We’re always ready to answer any questions you may have concerning your claim. We can help you navigate this time-consuming process and provide you with all of the information your insurance needs to process your claim.

At CCR Roofing, we are proud to offer you top-notch service along with expert advice. We love what we do and know you will too. Contact us today to schedule a free, no-pressure consultation to discuss a roof replacement for your home! 855-288-2410
